Understanding Electrolysis Hair Removal
FAQ & Information

How long is each session?

Initial consultations typically run 60-90 minutes, allowing us to thoroughly understand your needs and develop an initial action plan. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes, focused on implementation and progress review. We can customize session lengths based on your specific requirements.

What should I prepare before our first meeting?

To make the most of our time together, please take a few moments to think about your main goals and challenges. If you have any relevant documentation or examples you’d like to discuss, having those ready will help us dive right in. We’ll also send you a brief questionnaire before our first session to help guide our discussion.

How often should we schedule sessions?

The frequency of our sessions depends on your goals and timeline. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions during intensive phases, while others prefer bi-weekly or monthly check-ins. During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your needs and create a schedule that aligns with your objectives and availability.

What will electrolysis cost?

While single sessions are always available, we advise a 12-18 month plan. It is impossible to estimate how much a particular treatment area will cost. In order to completely kill hairs, multiple treatments are required to achieve permanency. We can discuss which option best fits your needs and budget during our initial consultation.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that schedules can change unexpectedly. We request 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid any charges. For last-minute emergencies, please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your situation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Hair grows in cycles, so multiple sessions are required for full results.
With consistent treatments, hair will:

• grow back finer
• grow less often
• eventually stop completely

Many hairs may be eliminated in one session, but most require multiple treatments for complete permanency.

SAFE FOR PREGNANCY

Electrolysis is safe during pregnancy, though breast and abdominal areas should not be treated after the sixth month due to tenderness and possible hormone stimulation.

THREE METHODS AVAILABLE

At Teton Electrolysis, all three recognized electrolysis methods may be used depending on your individual needs:

Galvanic (Direct Current)

Destroys hair through chemical action.
Gold probes are used for the highest quality treatment.

Thermolysis (High Frequency)

Destroys the hair root through heat.

Blend Method

A combination of galvanic + thermolysis.
This is the most commonly used method and is highly effective.

Permanent Hair Removal for All Skin Tones & Hair Types

Safe. Effective. Permanent.

Electrolysis is a precise treatment that targets individual hair follicles and permanently destroys the hair root. It is the only FDA-recognized method of permanent hair removal and is safe for all skin tones, hair colors, and hair types.

If you have unwanted hair—electrolysis can treat it.

HOW ELECTROLYSIS WORKS

A sterile probe (the same size as the hair) is gently inserted into the natural opening of the follicle, reaching the dermal papilla—the structure that feeds the hair.

A low-level electrical current is applied to destroy the dermal papilla and regenerative cells. The hair is then removed. Once the dermal papilla is destroyed, the hair will not regrow.

Every effort is made at Teton Electrolysis to keep discomfort minimal and client comfort a priority.
